The studio project developed proposals for a new civic center for Junction City, a western Oregon town with a population 5,460. The studio was challenged to explore urbanity in small towns and develop hypotheses of how architecture can increase both downtown economic vitality and quality of daily life.

The largest challenge was to accommodate the program elements into a single cohesive project. The town needed facilities for Police, Town Offices, Court, Library, and wished to consolidate their Community and Senior Centers on the site.
