The focus of the studio was to use a specific architectural "anomoly" as inspiration for form. This piece used subtle geometries in a particular wrought iron sculpture for its form-finding. The piece expresses the glue-up lamination critical to this type of wood bending process, and was an initial exploration into the use of a CNC mill as a fabrication technique.

Many thanks go to Hank Warneck for his countless hours in the shop and Erik Hegre for his assistance with CNC milling.
